  1. Prep the aromatics

Thinly slice the garlic cloves and grate the fresh ginger on a cutting board.

  2. Boil the water

Fill the saucepan halfway with water and bring it to a boil over high heat. Add a pinch of salt.

  3. Cook the broccoli

Add the frozen broccoli to the boiling water and cook for 3 minutes. Drain in the colander and set aside.

  4. Cook the noodles

Bring the broccoli cooking water back to a boil over high heat. Add the rice noodles and cook for 3 minutes without stirring. Drain and set aside.

  5. Cook the garlic and ginger

In the wok or nonstick skillet, heat the sesame oil over medium heat. Add the garlic and grated ginger and cook for 1 minute without letting them brown.

Tip · If the garlic or ginger browns too fast, turn the heat down and add a splash of water to the wok so they don't burn.
  6. Add the shrimp

Add the frozen shrimp to the wok and stir-fry over high heat for 2 minutes, until heated through.

  7. Toss everything together

Add the drained broccoli and rice noodles to the wok. Add the soy sauce and toss well with the wooden spoon or spatula. Let it heat for 2 minutes over low heat so everything comes together.

Tip · For a crispier stir-fry, let everything sizzle over high heat for 1 more minute after mixing.
  8. Season and serve

Taste and adjust the seasoning with a pinch of salt and pepper if needed. Serve right away.
