Step-by-step recipe

  1. Prep the broccoli

Wash the broccoli under cold water and cut it into small florets. Lightly peel the stem and cut it into thin rounds.

  2. Cook the rice

Rinse the rice under cold water in the colander until the water runs clear. Bring 30 cl of water to a boil in the saucepan, then add the rice and a pinch of salt. Let it cook over medium heat for 15 min, uncovered, then take it off the heat and let it rest, covered, for 5 min.

  3. Cook the broccoli

Heat a tablespoon of oil in the skillet over medium heat. Add the broccoli florets and stem rounds and cook for 5 min, stirring. Season lightly with salt, then set aside on a plate.

  4. Make the sauce

Peel and finely mince the garlic. In a bowl, mix the honey, soy sauce and minced garlic.

Tip · To keep the garlic from burning, add it together with the sauce, not before it goes on the salmon.
  5. Cook the salmon

In the same skillet (no need to wash it), set the salmon fillets skin side down. Let them cook for 4 min over medium heat without touching. Flip them gently, add the sauce and let it glaze for 2 min, spooning it over the fish.

Tip · If the salmon is thick, cook it 1 min longer on each side, but don't go over 5 min per side so the fish stays moist.
  6. Serve

Divide the rice among the plates, add the broccoli and set the glazed salmon on top. Drizzle with the rest of the sauce from the skillet.

And there you go, it's readyCheck off every step to celebrate.
