Step-by-step recipe

  1. Bring the water to a boil

Fill a saucepan with water, add a pinch of salt and bring to a full boil.

  2. Cook the whole wheat pasta

Drop the 200 g of whole wheat pasta into the boiling water and cook according to the package, usually 10 to 12 min. Stir once at the start.

Tip · Taste a piece one minute before the time on the package: whole wheat pasta should stay a little firm to the bite.
  3. Prep the veggies

While it cooks, dice the 3 tomatoes and thinly slice the red onion. Put it all in the mixing bowl.

  4. Drain the tuna and corn

Open the can of tuna and the can of corn, then drain them well. Flake the tuna (120 g) and add it to the mixing bowl with the corn (150 g).

  5. Drain and cool the pasta

Drain the pasta in the colander and rinse it under cold water to stop the cooking. Let it drain well.

Tip · Drain the pasta for a good while, otherwise leftover water waters down the vinaigrette and the salad turns bland.
  6. Season and toss

Add the pasta to the mixing bowl with 1.5 tbsp of olive oil, 0.5 tbsp of balsamic vinegar, salt and pepper. Toss well and serve chilled.
