Rinse the rice under cold water in a bowl until the water runs clear. Tip it into a saucepan with 300 ml of cold water, bring to a boil, then turn the heat down to the lowest setting. Cover and let it cook for 15 min without touching it. Turn off the heat and let it rest, covered, for 10 min.
Peel the carrots and cut them into small cubes. Remove the outer leaves of the cabbage and cut it into thin strips. Roughly chop the sliced pork with the knife.
Heat the skillet over medium heat with 1 tbsp of oil. Add the chopped pork and brown it for 3 min, stirring. Take it out and set it aside in a bowl.
In the same skillet, add a little oil if needed. Cook the carrots for 2 min over medium heat, then add the cabbage and stir-fry for 3 min until it's tender.
Put the pork back in the skillet with the veggies. Add the cooked rice, the soy sauce and a grind of pepper. Stir-fry everything for 2 min over high heat so the flavors blend.
