Step-by-step recipe

check things off as you go
  1. Preheat the oven

Turn the oven on to 200 °C, convection if you have it. Butter the baking dish with half of the 15 g of butter.

  2. Prep the broccoli

Break the 120 g of broccoli into small florets and cut the bigger ones in half so they all cook at the same speed.

  3. Cook the pasta and broccoli

Bring a big saucepan of salted water to a boil and drop in the 210 g of spaghetti. Add the broccoli for the last 3 minutes, then drain everything together.

Tip · Pull the spaghetti 1 minute before the package time, it finishes cooking in the oven without going soft.
  4. Make the sauce

In the mixing bowl, mix the 8 cl of crème fraîche, the 5 cl of milk, the nutmeg, salt and pepper. Drain the can of tuna well and flake it into the sauce.

  5. Mix it all

Tip the drained pasta and broccoli into the mixing bowl and gently toss with the tuna sauce.

  6. Fill the dish

Pour the mixture into the buttered dish. Mix the Swiss cheese and Parmesan, spread them over the top and dot with the rest of the butter in small pieces.

  7. Bake until golden

Bake at 200 °C until the top is nicely golden and the edges are bubbling.

Tip · If the top browns too fast before the gratin bubbles, cover the dish with foil or turn the oven down to 180 °C.
