Step-by-step recipe

check things off as you go
  1. Preheat the oven

Turn the oven on to 200 °C (thermostat 6 to 7). Let it heat up while you prep the rest.

  2. Peel the potatoes

Peel the potatoes and cut them into 2 cm cubes. Put them in the saucepan.

  3. Boil the potatoes

Cover the potatoes with cold water, add a pinch of salt and bring to a boil. Cook for 15 min over medium heat.

Tip · To check that the potatoes are done, stick a fork in: it should slide in with no resistance.
  4. Prep the chops

Take the pork chops out of their packaging. Season each side generously with salt and pepper.

  5. Sear the chops

Heat the skillet over high heat with a drizzle of oil. Add the chops and brown them 3 to 4 min per side. Set them aside on a plate.

Tip · If the skillet is too hot, lower the heat after the first 2 minutes so the chops don't burn.
  6. Add the green beans

In the same skillet, add the frozen green beans. Cook them for 5 min over medium heat, stirring.

  7. Drain the potatoes

Drain the potatoes in the colander and put them back in the saucepan over low heat to dry for 1 min.

  8. Bake the potatoes

Spread the potatoes in a baking dish. Lay the chops on top and bake for 10 min.

  9. Serve hot

Take the dish out of the oven and arrange the green beans around it. Serve right away.
