Step-by-step recipe

  1. Peel the potatoes

Peel the 500 g of potatoes with the knife on the cutting board. Cut them into big cubes so they cook evenly.

Tip · To save time, you can peel the next batch while the first potatoes are cooking.
  2. Cook the potatoes

Put the potato cubes in the saucepan. Cover them with cold water, add a pinch of salt and bring to a boil. Let them cook for 15 min over medium heat until tender.

  3. Cook the green beans

Drain the potatoes and put the same saucepan back on the heat. Add the 300 g of frozen green beans, cover with water and bring to a boil. Cook for 8 min over high heat.

  4. Drain the veggies

Drain the green beans in a colander. Keep the veggies warm in the saucepan off the heat.

  5. Brown the sausages

In the nonstick skillet over medium heat, brown the 240 g of sausages for 5 min, turning them so they get nicely colored.

  6. Mash the potatoes

Put the drained potatoes back in the saucepan. Add the milk and butter. Mash with a fork until smooth. Season with a pinch of salt and pepper.

Tip · If the mash is too thick, add a little warm milk to loosen it.
  7. Serve hot

Divide the mashed potatoes among the plates and add the green beans and sausages on the side. Serve right away.
