  1. Chop the onion

Peel the onion and dice it small. Peel the garlic too and mince it finely.

  2. Cook the onion and garlic

Heat the olive oil in the nonstick skillet over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic and cook for 2 min without letting them brown.

  3. Shape the meatballs

In a bowl, mix the ground beef with half of the oregano, salt and pepper. Shape 8 small meatballs with your hands.

Tip · For tender meatballs, don't pack the meat too tightly when you shape them.
  4. Cook the meatballs

Add the meatballs to the skillet with the onion and garlic. Brown them for 3 min on each side over medium heat without pressing on them.

  5. Add the tomatoes

Add the crushed tomatoes to the skillet, then add the rest of the oregano, salt and pepper. Mix well and let it simmer over low heat.

  6. Cook the pasta

While the sauce simmers, bring 1.5 L of water to a boil in the saucepan. Salt the water and add the pasta. Cook it for 8 to 10 min, following the package.

Tip · Taste a piece of pasta 1 min before the time is up to check if it's done.
  7. Drain the pasta

Once the pasta is al dente, drain it in the colander, saving a little cooking water.

  8. Serve

Divide the pasta among plates and top with the sauce and meatballs. Add a little cooking water if needed to bring it together.

And there you go, it's readyCheck off every step to celebrate.
