  1. Peel the onion

Peel the onion and dice it small. Keep half of it for later.

  2. Peel the carrots

Peel the carrots and cut them into small cubes, about 1 cm each.

  3. Cook the onion

In the nonstick skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion and cook for 2 min without browning.

  4. Add the carrots

Add the carrots to the skillet with the onion. Cook for 3 min, stirring.

  5. Make the broth

Add 1 L of water to the saucepan, add the vegetable bouillon cube and bring to a boil. Add the green lentils and half the carrot and onion mix from the skillet.

Tip · If there isn't enough water to cover the lentils, add a little hot water while they cook.
  6. Cook the lentils

Lower the heat to a gentle simmer. Cook the lentils for 25 min, covered. Add a little salt partway through.

  7. Cook the sausages

Meanwhile, cook the sausages in the skillet over medium heat for 10 min, turning them so they brown all over. Take them out and slice them into rounds.

Tip · For tastier sausages, brown them over high heat for 2 min per side before lowering the heat.
  8. Stir and finish

Add the sausage rounds and the rest of the carrot and onion mix to the saucepan. Let it simmer for 5 min over low heat. Add pepper to taste.

And there you go, it's readyCheck off every step to celebrate.
