Step-by-step recipe

  1. Preheat the oven

Turn the oven on to 180 °C (thermostat 6) so it's hot when the tart goes in.

  2. Prep the leeks

Rinse the leeks under cold water and trim off the green ends and the root end. Thinly slice them into 5 mm rounds.

  3. Cook the leeks

In the nonstick skillet, heat the oil over medium heat. Add the leeks and cook them for 5 min, stirring, until tender but not browned.

Tip · To keep the leeks from sticking, stir them often with a wooden spatula while they cook.
  4. Roll out the dough

Take the pie crust out of its packaging and lay it in a tart pan (or right on a baking sheet if you don't have a pan). Prick the bottom with a fork.

  5. Mix the filling

In a mixing bowl, beat the eggs with the crème fraîche. Season lightly with salt and pepper. Add half of this mixture over the leeks in the skillet and stir well.

  6. Fill the tart

Spread the leeks and their filling over the crust. Smooth it out to cover the whole surface.

  7. Bake the tart

Bake the tart at 180 °C for 20 min, until the crust is golden and the top is slightly puffed.

Tip · If the crust puffs up too much, prick it lightly with a fork to let the steam out.
  8. Make the salad

Wash the lettuce, spin it dry and tear it into pieces in a salad bowl.

  9. Serve

Take the tart out of the oven and let it cool for 2 min. Serve it with the green salad on the side.

And there you go, it's readyCheck off every step to celebrate.
