  1. Prep the chicken

Cut the 300 g of chicken breasts into small pieces, about 2 cm. Season lightly with salt and pepper.

  2. Cook the garlic

Mince the garlic. Heat 0.5 tbsp of olive oil in the wok over medium heat. Add the garlic and cook it for 30 seconds without burning it.

Tip · If the garlic starts browning too fast, turn the heat down right away to avoid a bitter taste.
  3. Cook the chicken

Add the chicken pieces to the wok. Brown them for 3 to 4 minutes over medium-high heat, stirring often.

  4. Add the zucchini

Wash the zucchini and cut it into 1.5 cm cubes. Add them to the wok with the chicken. Cook for 2 minutes over medium heat.

  5. Season

Drizzle 3 tbsp of soy sauce over the mixture. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Mix well.

Tip · Taste before adding salt: soy sauce is already salty, so it's easy to overdo it.
  6. Cook the zucchini

Let it cook over medium heat for 3 to 4 minutes, stirring now and then, until the zucchini is tender but still crisp.

  7. Cook the rice

Meanwhile, bring 300 ml of water to a boil in the saucepan. Add the basmati rice, cover and cook over low heat for 10 minutes. Turn off the heat and let it rest, covered, for 5 minutes.

  8. Serve

Divide the rice between two plates. Spoon the chicken and zucchini stir-fry on top.
