  1. Dice the onion

Peel the onion and cut it into small, fine dice on the cutting board.

  2. Cook the onion

Heat the oil in the nonstick skillet over medium heat. Add the onion and cook for 3 min, stirring, until translucent.

  3. Cook the chicken

Add the diced chicken breasts to the skillet with the onion. Brown them for 5 min over medium heat, stirring, until cooked through.

Tip · Cut the chicken into even-size dice so it cooks evenly.
  4. Add the peas

Stir the frozen peas into the skillet with the chicken and onion. Mix well and cook for 2 min over medium heat.

  5. Cook the rice

Meanwhile, bring 320 ml of water to a boil in the saucepan. Add the rice, lower the heat to keep a gentle boil and cover. Cook for 15 min without stirring.

Tip · If your lid doesn't close tightly, lay a sheet of foil over it so the water doesn't evaporate too fast.
  6. Mix it all together

Drain the rice if needed, then add it to the skillet with the chicken and peas. Mix well and heat for 2 min over low heat so the flavors come together.

  7. Season

Add a pinch of salt and pepper. Taste and adjust the seasoning if needed.

And there you go, it's readyCheck off every step to celebrate.
