  1. Cook the rice

Rinse the rice under cold water in a bowl until the water runs clear. Tip it into the saucepan with 300 ml of cold water. Bring to a boil, then turn the heat down to the lowest setting, cover and let it cook for 35 minutes without touching it.

Tip · To keep the water from boiling over, always leave a little room between the water level and the rim of the saucepan.
  2. Prep the ingredients

Peel the carrot and cut it into small cubes. In a bowl, beat the eggs with a pinch of pepper.

  3. Cook the veggies

In the hot skillet with a little oil, cook the diced carrot over medium heat for 5 minutes, until tender.

  4. Add the peas

Add the frozen peas to the skillet and stir-fry them for 3 minutes with the carrots.

Tip · If the peas are still frozen in the middle, cover the skillet for 1 minute to speed up thawing before you stir-fry them.
  5. Scramble the eggs

Push the veggies to the side of the skillet, add the beaten eggs and stir gently with the wooden spoon until they're scrambled but still soft.

  6. Mix it all together

Add the cooked rice to the skillet, add the soy sauce and mix well to coat everything. Let it heat for 2 minutes over low heat.

  7. Adjust the seasoning

Taste and add pepper if needed. Serve right away.
